Cleveland Kids F.A.Q.'s

What if my child can't be at camp the entire day?
We want to be as flexible as possible. Our schedule is set and you can see it here, but if you're child gets tired toward the end of the week, bring them later in the morning and/or pick them up early in the afternoon! If your child has an appointment, feel free to check them out for the appointment and then bring them back to camp when you're finished! We want camp to work for your family, so we will work with you to ensure that your child has the best experience possible!

What are the field trips?
Each age group will go to the pool one day during each week and will go either bowling or miniature golfing one day each week. K-1st will go to the pool each Monday, 2nd-3rd will go to the pool each Wednesday, and 4th-5th will go to the pool each Friday. Each age group will go miniature golfing during weeks 1, 3 and 5 and each age group will go bowling during weeks 2, 4 and 6. All travel will be by chartered bus.

How will children be divided during camp?
We will have three different age groups - K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th. In your child's Locker Room, Half-Time and field trips they will be with their age groups. The track times will be as close to these age divisions as we can make them.

What is Locker Room and Half-Time?
Locker Room is an age-graded small group time. Your child will be hanging out with his small group Coach, discussing a Biblical lesson, and doing activities that coincide with that lesson. Half-Time is an organized, structured and supervised free-time.
Why is cleveland kids advertised by first baptist but held at tennessee christian preparatory school?
First Baptist and Tennessee Christian are co-sponsoring Cleveland Kids. Both feel that Cleveland Kids will meet a need in our community and minister to families in a unique way. The facilities at Tennessee Christian are great and provide for a larger range of activities.

What should my child bring to camp?
Campers should bring a swim suit (girls need a one piece) and shoes and a cover up to wear to the pool. Campers should also bring a ready to eat lunch with a drink. There is a camp store where campers can purchase snacks.
