Use beautiful hats and display of books.
Another Mother's Day idea is to decorate using different kinds of bags, such as diaper, tote, and evening bags. Use accessories like keys, calendars, sack lunch bags, homework papers to sign, sunglasses, etc. Any of these could accompany books on parenting, working mom, or devotions for moms.
GRADUATION
Cap and gown, rolled paper with ribbon (diploma facsimile), photos of graduates (current and elementary).

Hang a pair of stuffed overalls with a checkered shirt. (We use preschool size clothing.) DOG DAYS OF SUMMER ARE FOR READING

Use fall colors, artificial leaves, child's rake, pumpkins, scarecrows, gourds, etc. Use a large basket on its side with artificial produce, gingham fabric and your favorite books that match the color scheme.

Show a puzzle with a piece missing. Put the missing piece on a stack of spiritual books including the Bible.
COLOR YOUR WORLD - READ
You could use this for many different seasons, such as back to school with art supplies or springtime with flowers. It could also be used with a globe and books about foreign missionaries.
BOOKWORMS WELCOME-- Decorate using apples with worms, fishing poles with worms, a can of worms, or books with bookworms. READING - A "BEAR" NECESSITY Decorate using teddy bears or make a paper one that extends past bulletin board with lettering on its stomach. SWEEP UP SOME BARGAINS...OUR MEDIA IS FREE FOR CHECKOUT
Use brooms in a variety of sizes and styles, dustpans, dust bunnies (pom poms), etc. Glue little eyes on dust bunnies. Make tiny books for dust bunnies to read.

Choose appropriate titles for either theme. You can make pencil people with fake hair and give them a wind blown look. Glue on eyes, mouth, bow tie, etc.
